Some life drawing from the summer. Not and interesting post....maybe soon.

A girl and her friend out for a walk.

These girls live in a barn, and spend their time pinching chickens and gossipping.
After months of using a cintique, the tablet is a little cumbersome. Therefore, I will now only be using real paints and pencils. (or copping out and using flat colours).

This is my ideal halloween costume.

This is a picture that I did while watching Young Frankenstien, one of the best movies of all time. Here are some heads that I did too. They are done from Young Frankenstein and Some Like It Hot. (another one of the best movies of all time). Also, some pictures of Danny Devito.

holy crap...another post the very next day

This is done from a doodle I did at work a few monthes back. Finally got around to colouring it. I learned a bit more about horses in the mean time so I've tried to correct some of the funny stuff going on in her legs.

Here's the original drawing. now that I look at it again, I think I should do a bit more with her hair in the painting...later.

animal life drawing

I've been trying to go draw animals more regularly due to my lack of skills in that area...so far I've managed to go once a week for the past three weeks and it is still kicking my ass, but I think I'm starting to get used to the general anatomy a bit. These were done at Maplewood farms in North Van, and the Seattle Zoo.

stupid

This week's topic was stupid.

I've been a bit forgetful this week, so these were pretty much done on the bus on the way home Monday night....and then I forgot to post them.

THe girl is based on what I remember of a character from the movie "Idiocracy", although I can't remember her name in the movie. It's not Chastity. If you haven't heard of/seen this movie, I would rent it from your local video store. It's a Mike Judege movie (Office Space, Beavis and Butthead), and it's hilarious. It's about a average guy who gets frozen and ends up 500 years in the future. Humanity has kept getting stupider because the smart people weren't having kids.

THere are theories that its' marketing buget was cut (by 20th Century Fox) because of it's anti corporate message ( Starbuck's is selling handjobs, Carl's Jr Burger's slogan is "Fuck you, I'm eating!" ...which probably isn't the best product placement for those companies.) Regardless of the reason, there were no t.v spots, trailers or press kits.

I recommend this movie.

This is a picture of Miss Undead USA after she won the pageant. She is also miss North Dakota.

I figured the only thing that could make a zombie scarier is if it was also a beauty queen.

somewhat speedy paintings

This is my first attempt at a speed painting. The reason it was a speed painting was because I had to do something for colour class tomorrow, and little time to do it in after I had finished everything else on my list today. Come to think of it, I didn't finish everything on my list because it is impossibly long.
