This week's illustration. I hate rats. Especially sewer rats. I feel a little sick just thinking about them.
Also, I used to work in an animal lab (a friendly one... at a university... no cruel tests). I had to help clean out the rat cages sometimes. THey told me if you picked up the rats by their tail, the rats couldn't bite you. Wrong. The phobia started after that.

I guess you're not looking forward to Rattatoule then.
Did you know that's really french soup. I thought it was a pasta...
I think my love of Brad Bird is possibly greater than my fear of rats. Besides...they don't look like rats so much...
I never really thought about ratatouille the food so much. Thank you for enlightening me. If someone had asked me what I thought it was I would have claimed it was some concoction made of cheesy sauce, bowtie pasta and fish eggs.
Hi Meg, me again. I have a really big favor to ask.
There's a salsa-themed christmas party coming up for me next thursday and I need a date for it.
I was going to ask Alma or Joana but Alma's going to brazil and Joana's already going with Jesse.
Could you possibly ask if anyone from your class would like to go to a party on Dec 7.
Please reassure them this is strictly a platonic invitation and there are no sneaky ulterior motives: It's just a high-end party and I have an invite-one option on my invitation I would like to make use of.
Will- I'll see what I can do. Do you have my e-mail address?

Thanks, I know this looks pretty desperate. But this is the most formal event I've been to all year and I'd really like to take somebody
Just for the record, "Ratatouille" is not a soup. It's a mix of vegetables with tomatoes, and... courgettes, aubergines, poivrons and sometimes potatoes.
There you go !
